Our "Homes" are Our Sacred Stewardship

We are learning that when our "homes" are in order, we are able to feel the Spirit in miraculous ways. We are focusing on being prepared in all ways...spiritually and physically. We know that we need to take care of our "homes" and keep them clean and orderly so that we can be more effective in learning and teaching the Gospel.

As faithful and strong missionaries, we are learning to protect our "homes" with all our might. The "home" is where we receive refuge and protection from the world. We know that we must learn to be good stewards over our dwelling places, so that we can experience peace and enjoy the spirit that can dwell in clean and orderly places.

When we visit missionaries in their apartments, they share their love and their inspiration with us. We are uplifted and inspired by them. We are grateful for the wonderful opportunity we have to associate with these fine young men and women. They are learning to be wise stewards.

We are so grateful for each and every missionary in our mission. Each one adds special talents and abilities to the Santiago East Mission Team. Each one desires to better his or her life by serving the Lord. We know that being faithful stewards over the blessings we receive in our lives makes us even stronger and better. Visiting with missionaries in their apartments has been a great opportunity for all of us to grow closer and to appreciate each other even more. We are the Lord's "team," and we want to serve Him with all our heart, might, mind, and soul.

President Laycock always teaches us that our mission is our University of life, and that if we are obedient in all of our missionary duties, we will be well prepared for the rest of our lives. Part of our "education" in the mission field is learning to care for our "homes." We are working hard to do all we can to be faithful stewards over the sacred trust that the Lord has given us. We are so thankful for this time to learn and to grow and to serve. It really is miraculous to see how the Lord teaches and trains His servants.

Santiago East Missionaries understand that we have a sacred stewardship to care for our "pensiones." As we clean and care for our "homes," we understand that we will be able to enjoy the blessings of the Holy Ghost. We all know that cleanliness and orderliness is necessary so that we can study and prepare to teach our Chilean Brothers and Sisters about our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ and the need to repent and be baptized.

Visiting our missionaries in their "homes" teaches us so much about our missionaries. They are excellent representatives of our Savior and His Gospel...even and especially in their "pensiones." The Santiago East Mission is filled with amazing missionaries. We love them all!

As we visited apartments "pensiones" in the mission during this past transfer cycle, we discovered that our missionaries are working so hard to learn and grow. They want to serve the Lord and spread the good news of the Gospel. They are blessing many lives. We are thankful.

Visiting our missionaries in their "homes" has been a blessing during this past transfer cycle. We always enjoy being with them and feeling the Spirit of the Holy Ghost as they work together to learn all that they are learning. They inspire us and teach us through their obedience and diligence.
