Eight Faithful Elders and two Faithful Sisters Completed their Mission Service on June 14, 2010. As usual, we spent the day with these fine missionaries, allowing them to experience some of the cultural treasures of Santiago. We went to the temple together, and concluded with dinner and testimonies at the mission home. We gave go-home advice and answered questions. When we asked Elder Renshaw how he became such a dedicated and diligent missionary, he said, “I tell myself that I will work my hardest today, and then tomorrow I will rest. Then, I do the same thing the next day.” This exemplifies the life of a faithful missionary. They work so hard every single day of their mission. We will miss these fine missionaries, but we believe they will continue to be our friends throughout eternity.

Isn't it interesting how on the other side of that sad goodbye in Santiago were very happy reunions with families and other loved ones, including ours with ELder Renshaw, at the San Francisco airport!
I must admit that, although it is wonderful to have tanner home, there is a certain sadness about no longer receiving those uplifting weekly emails from our missionary. i do know that there is a time and a season for everything, and that Tanner will continue to "go about doing good", as he presses forward in life! Thank you for your amazing stewardship over Elder Renshaw during that last year of his mission. We are forever indebted to you, Pres. and Sis. Laycock!
With love,
Loel and Dana Renshaw
