Special Mission Blessings!

I just had to share this photo with all of you. Our son, Elder Landon Laycock is serving in the Uruguay, Montevideo West Mission. This is his picture in the Pocuro Chapel along with all of the missionaries serving from Santiago! We are so thankful for his service.

Good-byes!

15 New Missionaries Arrived on April 17, 2012

We were so thrilled to get to know these wonderful new missionaries. They are absolutely inspired and inspiring. They are eager to get right to work and to do the Lord's work in the Lord's way. They have capable, brave, kind, loving companions who will lead them and help them. And they will help their trainers to move to an even higher level of service and love. What a wonderful blessing they are to our mission.

After our orientation, we had lunch with all of our new missionaries. Then President Laycock interviewed them, and we sent them out into the world to teach, preach, and baptize their Chilean Brothers and Sisters! We have no doubt that they will be exceptional in every way!!!! We are so thankful for their safe arrival.

Medical Miracles in the Mission!

We feel so blessed to have such modern medical help in the Santiago East Mission. The hospitals are excellent, and the Doctors are skilled and helpful. Mostly, we are very grateful to our Heavenly Father for His constant guidance and protection! When our missionaries have medical needs, they are always taken care of and watched over in miraculous ways!

We love our missionaries very much, and we are grateful for all that they do and for all that they are becoming. They are strong and courageous. Through their love and conviction, they inspire us to be and do better in our own lives. Even in their trials, they are positive and inspiring. We are so grateful for them and for the families of all of our missionaries. We feel the support and love of every missionary's family, and that adds meaning and love to our service here.

We feel so blessed to know these fine young missionaries and to work beside them every day. We pray for God's choicest blessings to be upon them forever and ever.

We Said Good-bye to Four More Fantastic Missionaries on Monday, April 16-17, 2011

These four missionaries, Elder Vargas, and Sisters Hudson, Ewing, and McGee have been exemplary missionaries in every way. We will feel their excellent influence in the Santiago East Mission throughout all eternity. We love them so much, and we are sad to say good-bye to them, but we know they will accomplish many more miraculous works as they continue serving the Lord with all their hearts.
